I didn’t miss you today
can you believe that?
sure you crossed my mind a couple of times
but surprisingly I didn’t think about you every second of the day

I think I’m getting better
and I’m coming to realization;
I don’t need you to be happy
I never did

You see,
that was my mind playing games and tricks on me
they say your mind is the biggest barrier that you face
and after months of feeling so lousy and hopeless
I’m slowly overcoming this barrier
I’m learning to fight back, fire with fire

I don’t need you to make me happy
because even when I had you
you made me feel nothing but anger and agony
so it no longer makes any sense to me;
to continuously hurt and feel sorry for myself
over someone that hurts me as much as you do

I’m actually proud of myself
It’s been months
and I never thought I’d see this day coming
lets just hope that this feeling of hatred stays

because I deserve better
so much better than
you.

“Recognize that the very molecules that make up your body, the atoms that construct the molecules, are traceable to the crucibles that were once the centers of high mass stars that exploded their chemically rich guts into the galaxy, enriching pristine gas clouds with the chemistry of life. So that we are all connected to each other biologically, to the earth chemically and to the rest of the universe atomically. That’s kinda cool! That makes me smile and I actually feel quite large at the end of that. It’s not that we are better than the universe, we are part of the universe. We are in the universe and the universe is in us.”
